"Chalet Bergrose" is the only apartment in the Wengen area awarded 5 stars by the Swiss Tourist Office. In comparison with the majority of local hotels and other appartments, it offers much greater comfort at a better price. All of the sixteen independant reviews of the apartment have rated it with a maximum of 5 out of 5 on an international apartment website..

It is a luxury two bedroom apartment only a couple of minutes from the station, shops and cable car and as you can ski to within 100m it ideal for skiiers. For the less active enjoying the stunning views from the massive balcony which has sun all day is an option ! There is also a private patio area that gets evening sun for alfresco eating.

Wengen is an amazing place to stay. It is easily accessible by rail, but only by rail, so there are no cars, giving it a very peaceful atmosphere. As one of the most outstanding areas of beauty in the world the Wengen area is a designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A recent article in the Independent on value in ski holidays said "Many skiers argue that the scenery of the Swiss Jungfrau region including Wengen, Grindelwald and Murren is beauty for which any price ratio is meaningless.........some things are simply priceless". No one who has been to Wengen could disagree with this; a horizon of snow covered peaks, hanging glaciers of shimmering ice, waterfalls cascading hundreds of feet, peaceful woods and meadows full of wild flowers, open ski runs in the sun, and tree lined routes back home. Wengen has it all.    

Popular for skiing with the British for nearly 100 years Wengen, and Murren on the other side of the valley, are the home of downhill skiing. The resort has a good snow record. There are many excellent walks for the summer visitor and no end of amazing places to see, from the highest railway station in Europe at 3500m with views of 3 countries to the 300m Staubach waterfall and the stunning Lakes of Thun and Brienz.

So for both summer and winter holidays that you will never forget Wengen is an excellent choice.
